Ramcharan-Bhaskar flick in May

Ram Charan Teja’s new film under the direction of Bhaskar of is going to be launched in May.

The film will be produced by Nagababu under Anjana Productions banner. The regular shooting of the flick will be commenced from June.

The film is said to be romantic family entertainer. Currently, Allu Arvind is producing the film ‘Magadheera’ under Geetha Arts banner with Ramcharan Tej and SS Rajamouli.

To mention here, the release of 'Magadheera' has been postponed to a later date from the scheduled release next month. As this being a big budget film, Allu Arvind is said to be interested in releasing it as peak summer bonanza.

reeti Jhangiani is the item girl in Tejam

Tejam in the direction Raj KS Gopi has completes its 90 percent of the shooting. Currently, the shooting of a song on Preeti Jhangiani in the supervision of Venugopal is progressing in Bottles & Chimneys restaurant Hyderabad.

S Rajasekhar is producing the film under Sunrays Entertainments banner. Gana is scoring the music this flick.

Speaking on the occasion producer Rajasekhar said, “It is an entertaining film with novel concept. The story revolves around eight boys and one girl. We are taking up a burning issue and narrating it in an entertaining way. Currently, we are canning a song ‘Picaso gesenu maa andame Monalise memu twinse kada” on Preeti Jhangiani”.

Director Raj KS Gopi said: “As of now, the movie has completed its 90 percent of the shooting with an exception of one song and 10 percent talkie. The flick will be completed by the end of this month”.

Preeti Jhangiani said: “I am playling a key role this flick. I thank the producer for giving this opportunity”.

The cast also has Sardhar Patel, Suresh, Mahesh, Vivek, Goutham, Raj, Vinod and Monisha. Monisha, Divya, Ramya Chowdary, Gopi, Praveen, Rama Krishna and others.

It is known news that Naga Chaitanya, son of Nagarjuna is busy with the shooting of his debut film. The movie has been tentatively titled ‘Josh’ and this marks the debut of Vasu Varma as the director while the man with the golden hand Dil Raju is the producer.

Chaitu is pairing up with Karthika, daughter of the ravishing beauty Radha and given the names involved, the curiosity was more on finding out the story. According to sources, there is news that the storyline is a combination of Shiva and Gharshana (of Prabhu and Murali) that came many years ago.

This will be a challenge for Chaitu since he has to emote many facets, if this is the story. Karthika might have to come up with an exceptionally good performance given her mother’s image and beauty. Rama Rama Krishna Krishna` to begin shortly

Young hero Ram is currently busy with his home production being produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore and directed by debutant Saravanan. After the movie finishes, Ram will soon start another flick for producer Dil Raju.

The film has been titled Rama Rama Krishna Krishna. Sri Vaas of Lakshyam fame is directing it. Search is on for a suitable heroine. Although regular shoot starts only after 3 months, a formal launch will be arranged this summer.

Nayanatara goes Anushka way

Ravi Teja’s Anjaneyulu launched

Anjaneyulu – starring Raviteja and Nayantara in the lead – was launched at Rama Naidu studios.

Parasuram, of Yuvatha fame, will be directing the flick. Ganesh is the producer. The film will be made on Parameshwara Arts banner. Music is by Taman.

Pawan Kalyan rendered the puja formalities, while his spouse and former actress Renu Desai clapped the muhurat shot. Bathula Satyanarayana switched on the camera. Prominent director VV Vinayak did the formal first shot direction.

Speaking on this occasion, director Parasuram thanked hero Ravi Teja for giving him an opportunity to direct a film with a big hero like him.

“This film is planned to provide superb entertainment to the audiences going by the brand of Ravi Teja. The subject will be youthful all along. True to the title Anjaneyulu, there is going to a lot of fun and frolic to cater to the comedy lovers. The entire film would be shot in the backdrop of a city.”

Ravi Teja said: “Anjaneyudu is a complete family entertainer. When Parasuram came to me with the subject and narrated it, I immediately accepted the project. It well suited my body language. Producer Ganesh is also a good friend of mine.”

Producer Ganesh said: “My sincere thanks to Puri Jagan and Pawan Kalyan who stood by me in the industry. I am confident that this film Anjaneyulu will be a blockbuster. Regular shoot will commence from April 20.”

Buddhivantha dubbed in Telugu

Upendra’s Kannada film Buddhivantha is being dubbed into Telugu as Budhimanthudu. The film is the remake of Nan Avanillai, which was released about 22 years ago by K. Balachander starring Gemini Ganesan in the lead role. It was remade recently featuring Jeeva, Sneha, Namitha, Malavika and others. The film has five heroines: Pooja Gandhi, Suma Ranganath, Saloni, Brinda Parekh and Natanya Singh.

Upendra appears in five different get ups in Budhimanthudu. The film is one of the biggest hits of 2008 running 100 days in many centres. It is being brought to Telugu by P. Hanumanth Reddy and H. Lakshmikanth Reddy under the Balaji Productions banner.

A special screening of Budhimanthudu was conducted for the press recently. The film will release on Ugadi, 27th March

Kick coming on May 7

May 7 has been set as the release date of Kick directed by Surender Reddy with Ravi Teja and Ileana in the lead. Ashmika and Tamil actor Shyam play important roles in the film. Brahmanandam, Sunil, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Sayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash Reddy, Ali, Rahgubabu and Jeeva are the other important artists in the film.

The shooting of the talkie portions is over and the crew is in presently in Malaysia to can the songs. The shooting is expected to be complete by 20th March. Kick is an action adventure flick produced by R.R. Movie Makers with a hefty budget of Rs. 20 crores; Ravi Teja plays the role of a betting master in the film.

Sridevi and Rahul marriage on June 18th

Tollywood actress Sridevi made her entry into films with the Prabhas starrer Eshwar. She later acted in a number of films but none of them scored at the box office. Her last release was Manjeera.

With stiff competition ruling the roost in the Telugu film field, Sridevi decided to quit her acting career and settle down as a house wife.

Sridevi is the daughter of actress Manjula and actor Vijay Kumar. Her husband-to-be is one Rahul of Hyderabad who is software business.

Nagarjuna’s next after King

After the hit film King which released in late 2008, Nagarjuna has decided to do a film with a new director. The actor is said have become very choosy about his scripts; it is heard that the script of this unknown director is very good and Nagarjuna has accepted the role.

If all goes well, the shooting of Nag’s next film will commence in May. Sources suggest that Nag would like to release the film in December, which seems to be very auspicious for him. Nag’s King was released in December 2008.

Song with 1000 dancers in Rajini’s Robo

Acclaimed director Shankar’s most ambitious film to date is Robo starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which is being produced by Sun Pictures.

This science fiction futuristic film is at present being shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The theme, plot and story are kept in tight wraps.

However, Shankar , who believes in sheer extravaganza in his films in addition to a topical story and tight screenplay, is said to be picturising a song which will have 1000 male and female dancers all dressed up as robots. This sing features Rajini and Aiswarya.

Recently, Maniratnam canned a song for Raavana in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai with 500 accompanying dancers.

He is joining with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone to act in a commercial ad for Pepsi. This advertisement is already making waves in all the telugu news channels and will be released to other channels in few days time.

Ram Charan Tej who is now the Pepsi brand ambassador will be going on road shows not for his father’s Prajarajyam Party but for Pepsi. This is what we say ” One shot two birds”. Prabhas's ‘Billa’ audio on 18th March

The audio of Prabhas, Anushka starrer, Billa, is all set to hit the stands on the 18th of March. The movie also stars Namitha as the second lady. Krishnam Raju plays a prominent role.

Billa is being produced by Narendra and Pabhod under Gopi Krishna Movies. The production house is back on the job after a long hiatus. The movie is being directed by Meher Ramesh of 'Kantri' fame.

The audio is being released through Lahari, who are stepping back into the Telugu space after a long time.

Like other film industries, Tollywood too has its share of professional bickerings and catfights, but a few young stars seem to get along like a house on fire.

It re-affirms the faith that ‘human bonding’ can break all boundaries, even in professions where competition is the driving force. Undoubtedly, there may be many more friends in the film fraternity but we are just talking about a couple of friendships which indicate that actors do value personal relationships over professional considerations.

Can stars sharing the same profession be good friends? “Why not?” Ram Charan retorts. It is well-known that Ram Charan Tej and Allu Arjun are buddies and are always seen together. “Recently, Arjun heard a script for one of his films but later sent it to me. When I heard it, I felt that it was an amazing script, but he felt that I would suit the role better and sent it across to me,” he says. Ram Charan believes that friendships are sustained by giving considerable ‘personal and professional space’ and are built on mutual trust.

Similarly, we discovered that Ileana was also caught in a professional dilemma due to her friendship with Parvati Melton. The friendship between Ileana and Parvati Melton happened on the sets of Jalsa and it gradually strengthened over time. Recently, Ileana was reluctant to replace her friend Parvati, despite it being a plum offer opposite Mahesh Babu. “She was unwilling to take it up and we realised that it was due to her friendship with Parvati. The role finally went to another actress,” says Giridhar, manager to both Ileana and Parvati.

And there are more friendships, some quiet… some flamboyant. Actors like Prabhas and Gopichand have been friends for over a decade. The stars who shared screen space in Varsham have never flaunted their friendship, but new entrants like Varun Sandesh and Nikhil like declaring their friendship. “I threw a party to celebrate Varun’s hit film and vice versa,’ says Nikhil, who is happy to have such a ‘trustworthy’ buddy with whom he can discuss all matters under the sun.

Ram Charan’s Magadheera postponed

The much awaited film of hero Ram Charan ‘Magadheera’ will not hit the screens in April as announced earlier. The film has been postponed and it will now hit the screens only in May.

The reason for the postponement is the announcement of election schedule. The people in the state would be busy with electioneering that will be completed only on April 23.

Magadheera stars Kajal Agarwal as the heroine and Sri Hari in an important role. The film is directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind on the Geeta Arts banner.

Mumaith ready to introduce sister

No Charan and No Aurjun

Megastar Chiranjeevi has declared that neither his nephew Allu Arjun nor his son Ramcharan Teja will participate in the election campaign for his Praja Rajyam Party.

Reacting to the reports, Chiranjeevi said the two heroes are too young to come into politics and they have a lot of future in the film industry. He refused to react to Jr NTR’s campaign and his criticism against PRP during the road shows.

The reason for Chiru’s refusal to rope in Allu Arjun and Ramcharan is not beyond one’s understanding. Chiramjeevi himself had been a hero with megastar image. He thinks he has enough charisma to attract voters. If he brings in the young heroes into the campaign, people might think Chiranjeevi has no confidence on his own image and therefore, he is taking the help of young heroes. Already, Chiru is said to be envious of his younger brother Pavan Kalyan, who proved to be a better speaker than him. So, that is the reason!

No confusions here folks, we are not talking about the eternal diva of all times but this Sridevi happens to be the darling daughter of the film couple Vijaykumar and Manjula. She was recently seen in the movie ‘Manjeera’ and right now she is entering a new league of life. The pretty starlet got engaged to one Rahul and the event happened yesterday at the residence of the would-be bride in Chennai. Rahul happens to be from Hyderabad and he owns a software firm which means that Sridevi is now the new daughter in law for the Telugu circuit. The engagement ceremony was said to be quite colorful and some of the noted personalities from the Kollywood circles such as Parthiban, Radhika, Sundar C, Kushboo, Lakshmi, Meena, Sanghavi, Sangeetha, K S Ravi Kumar and many others were present to wish the would be couple. Sonia new film lanuched

Sonia’s latest Telugu film with Rajiv son the music director koti and Krishnudu as male leads was launched at a function organized in Annapurna studios on the morning of 14 March. Jonnalagadda Srinivasa Rao directs it and M Ramalinga Raju (s/o M Arjuna Raju) produces it. Bhupati Raja provides story.

Mahesh’s Varudu film launched

Mahesh Babu’s lastest film in the direction of Trivikram was launched with a pooja ceremony in the office of producer Singanamala Ramesh. The regular shooting of the film is expected to take place either on 22nd or 23rd of March. Anushka is paired up with Mahesh Babu in this movie. There are tremendous expectations and hype on this film as Mahesh Babu is doing a feature film after a gap of 2 years.
